December 29th 2020 – Summer 2021

Supporting those at the heart of the industry

TradFest 2021

We have re-imagined our festival for these new and challenging COVID-19 times.

Due to the public health restrictions created as a result of the pandemic the festival will now run from December 2020 until Summer 2021. Live Covid Safe Concerts will return in the first 6 months of 2021. A full programme of events will be available now on our Events page.

In the meantime, we have three great ways for us all to connect with our favourite artists, to come together again in music…

On RTÉ TV & Player

The first event of Tradfest 2021 is ‘Ireland in Music’ which will be broadcast on RTÉ 1 Television on Tuesday December 29th 2020 at 8pm. We couldn’t be more excited. Make sure you set a record or catch it on the RTÉ Player. This is big-deal, don’t miss TV! For now, check out our friend Mundy performing the first tune from it ‘Dark Long Enough’.

Streaming in January

Next, from January 27 – 31 our ‘Tradfest@Home’ Concerts will stream live from the historic setting of Dublin Castle. Tickets on sale now (costing 4.99 Euro). Our headliners are; Irvine & Lunny, Dervish, Hothouse Flowers and Altan. The concerts will stream from 8pm across all time zones. See you there, wherever you may be!

Our Podcast

Together with our friends in Fáilte Ireland we’ve created a podcast to connect with our listeners from around the world during Covid-19 lockdown. Each week we chat with people from the music industry, across the globe. And of course, there’s always a tune or two. Find us wherever you listen to podcasts or click on the button below to listen on Spotify.
